Pizza Night at Ludophilia

As my suggestion for me being treated to a full Swedish Massage or given two or three bottles of 30 year old Tawny Port went COMPLETELY UNHEEDED it appears consenus is that we have a pizza night this year - using the funds our Founder has scrupulously saved from last year.  Therefore we need two things decided;

1. What night shall it be? Thursday, Friday or Saturday? [right now Friday appears a leading contender];

2. From whence shall we procure this pizza? Schaumburg has many delightful pizza places - larger names such as Lou Malnati's Pizzeria or Rosati's Pizza, area favorites such as Moretti's Ristorante and Pizzeria or Papa Saverio's. If stuffed pizza is called for, there is always Giordano's. Note I have not referred to industrial places such as Little Ceasar's, Dominio's or Pizza Hut. But they are, obviously, omnipresent.

  1. For the record, I am good with any of the above (but not the industrial ones).

  2. I, however, *would* include the industrial ones up with which I am good. Pick one? Sometimes I just want freedom from choice. I'll pick Rosati's, as a known commodity. But what's on the pizza is probably more important.

  3. I'm good with Lou's or Rosati's, doesn't much matter to me as long as there is good beer to go with it, which there will of course be. I never go anywhere without a supply of good beer.

  4. So I am sitting here wondering after asked to prove that I am not a robot, how do I really know that I am not a robot?

    1. Such self questioning might be a good Turing test - but, then again, you simply may have been programmed to give such a response.

  5. I'm good with almost anything. Rosatti's is a pretty good standard. Lou's is better quality (perhaps?) but more expensive - and a lot less choice. I've never tried Moretti's, but I vaguely recall not loving Papa Saverio's. Maybe that was just our local one.

    Also, BTW, I have amassed a sizable and quite eclectic collection of beer leftovers in my gameday hoard, and I'll be bringing whatever's in there to share with everyone. I may also get a moderate stock of some kind of pop (because after 2 or 3 beers, I always start craving something sweet... Not *that* kind of sweet, Bill.)

    1. I guess I am going to have to put on my martyr crown of thorns re: Papa Saverios.

      I will be bringing some pop too.

      Oh, and Friday night I shall be sponsoring a bit of high quality beer and single malt Scotch (and Irish) hospitality as a thank you to all you glorious taxpayers who made my 27.5 years in the Army possible. As Cicero said "For the first need in war is for unlimited money..."
